As of June 30, 2025, the deadline for meeting Emiratization goals for the first half of the year, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) reported that there were more than 152,000 Emiratis employed in the private sector, spread over 29,000 businesses.

“The success of Emiratization efforts in the private sector shows the effectiveness of Emiratization policies and the Nafis program, guided by the vision and directives of the UAE’s wise leadership,” the Ministry said in a statement. The increase of Emiratis pursuing positions in the private sector is proof that these initiatives are having a significant beneficial effect.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Presidential Court, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC), has directed these achievements.

MoHRE continued by pointing out that the UAE’s economic growth is sustainable, as seen by the ongoing, record-breaking rise in the number of its residents working in the private sector. The UAE’s innovative and sustainable development model and continuous efforts to foster a top-tier business environment have made it possible for new businesses to enter the national labor market, resulting in a 33% increase in the total number of establishments over the previous year.
