The Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQF) has initiated its first worldwide efforts to safeguard more than 30,000 children in Zanzibar and Mexico who are at risk of violence, exploitation, and displacement, as directed by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Foundation’s chairperson.
These historic initiatives, carried out in collaboration with two preeminent international organisations Save the Children International in Tanzania and Plan International in Mexico—strive to strengthen local skills for long-term child protection while creating safer surroundings for kids. In KSQF’s objective to provide integrated protection systems for children in vulnerable environments, the announcement represents a significant milestone.
Targeted action is also a humanitarian necessity because the number of child trafficking victims worldwide has increased by 31% in recent years.
The Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation is motivated by a strong belief that protecting and caring for children—and making sure they are raised in a healthy environment based on inspiration, love, nurturing, and education—is, first and foremost, a natural human right. Secondly, a genuine investment in the future of the world, Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi said when discussing the objectives and strategic vision behind the launch of these projects.
