The British High Commission in Islamabad said on Tuesday that it has made the visa application process simpler for Pakistani workers and students by using an eVisa system. The commission stated in a press release that, starting on July 15, the majority of Pakistani applicants travelling to the UK for work or study-related purposes would no longer require a physical sticker visa in their passports.

With the majority of worker and student visas, the UK government is substituting digital proof of immigration status, known as an eVisa, with paper immigration credentials,” the statement continued.

By creating and logging into an online UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account, you can examine an eVisa, which is an online record of an individual’s immigration permit in the UK and any applicable conditions.

According to the statement, eVisas are a component of an improved border and immigration system that would not only simplify the visa application process but also make it safer, more digital, and more efficient. Additionally, it stated that millions of individuals have previously used eVisas on certain immigration routes, proving that they are a tried-and-true method. According to Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, modifications to the UK visa system would require workers and students to provide proof of identification and visa status.
