The official delegation of the United Arab Emirates is attending VivaTech 2025 in Paris from June 11–14, and the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) is bringing a carefully chosen group of businesses. These businesses, which span manufacturing, sustainability, EdTech, and the creative economy, are prime examples of Sharjah’s founder-centred strategy and its goal of building a robust, internationally interconnected ecosystem rooted in Sharjah. 3,500 exhibitors, 3,200 investors, and 13,500 startups are among the 165,000 participants at the event. The biggest technology and startup gathering in Europe is VivaTech 2025.

At VivaTech, Startup Genome and the Global Entrepreneurship Network reveal the Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) 2025, a thorough analysis of startup ecosystems worldwide. Sharjah maintains its #7 position in MENA despite fiercer regional competition and a quickly changing scene, demonstrating the emirate’s tenacity and strategic acumen. Sheraa’s founder-first venture capital strategy propels this success, producing beneficial, long-lasting results and improving Sharjah’s reputation on the world innovation map.

Maintaining Sharjah’s position in the GSER rankings reflects the strength of an ecosystem built on clear vision, strategic alignment, and an unwavering drive to empower founders,” stated Najla Al Midfa, Vice Chairperson of Sheraa. Building an environment where each creator feels supported, not just at the beginning but also during their whole journey is something we at Sheraa are committed to.
