
According to Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), Dubai is creating a healthcare environment that is creative, inclusive, and incredibly human-centered.
He said the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as the directives of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, were responsible for the impressive advancement of Dubai’s health sector. As part of its “Meet the CEO” series, the Government of Dubai Media Office organised a media briefing to discuss these insights.
Along with a number of top editors-in-chief from prominent UAE newspapers and senior media executives, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, the Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, attended the event.
From its inception in the 1940s until establishing its first integrated academic health system under Law No. 13 (2021), Dr. Amer Sharif emphasised the advancements in Dubai’s healthcare system. In order to improve patient safety, he further mentioned that all hospitals have adopted the Integrated Physician Practice approach.
