For the purpose of providing maritime services in Bahrain, Noatum Maritime, a member of the Maritime and Shipping Cluster of AD Ports Group, has established a joint venture (JV) with Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Company (ASRY).
By utilising Noatum Maritime’s operational experience and contemporary fleet, the partnership seeks to enhance ASRY Shipyard’s current marine service offering exclusively. It will thereafter focus on external clients in Bahrain. Towage and mooring are part of the JV’s first operational scope, and they will be done using Noatum Maritime’s current fleet.
The JV will replace ASRY’s current fleet and marine services by starting operations with four ASD tugs and a mooring boat. It will then grow to take advantage of the entire range of maritime solutions offered by Noatum Maritime. To guarantee smooth operating continuity, current staff will be kept on.
The joint venture will promote operational efficiency, scalability, and industry best practices by combining Noatum Maritime’s knowledge of offshore operations, marine logistics, and harbour towage. This is Noatum Maritime’s first foreign step with the full portfolio of marine services, even though the business segment conducts towage services in countries including Mauritius, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman.
