Ariana Grande claimed the top honor at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, winning Video of the Year for Brighter Days Ahead. The hit track also earned her the award for Best Pop Song at the star-studded ceremony held near New York City.

The 32-year-old singer and actress appeared emotional while accepting the night’s biggest prize, delivering a heartfelt tribute to her fans. “Thank you for growing with me and being so supportive of me as a human being,” she said, also giving a lighthearted nod to her “therapist and gay people” during her earlier acceptance speech.

Lady Gaga also stood out as a major winner, securing Artist of the Year over stars like Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd. She also won Best Collaboration with Bruno Mars for Die with a Smile.

Other big wins included Rosé, who took home Song of the Year for APT, and Sabrina Carpenter, who earned Album of the Year for Short n’ Sweet.

The night blended nostalgia with modern flair, featuring performances from icons like Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes alongside younger stars such as Doja Cat and Tate McRae. Despite several nominations, Kendrick Lamar left without a win.
