The Arab side was led by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, and the Indian side was led by Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India. Several Arab foreign ministers attended the summit, as did the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

The summit discussed topics of collaboration between Arab states and India, and accepted the New Delhi Declaration released at the conclusion of the second session of AIFMM, as well as the India-Arab collaboration Forum’s Executive Programme for 2026-2028.

Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, stated in his introductory remarks that Arab-India relations are strengthening, owing to deep historical linkages and potential opportunities for cooperation in a variety of disciplines. He also emphasised the UAE and India’s excellent connections, which have improved significantly since 2017 under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Al Marar cited President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s recent visit to India on January 19, 2026, noting that the visit strengthened economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries, particularly in light of the success of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which increased bilateral trade to more than $100 billion in 2024–2025.
