Popular Indian travel influencer Anunay Sood has passed away at the age of 32, as confirmed by his family in an emotional statement shared on his official Instagram account. The cause of his death has not been made public.
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing,” the statement read. His family requested privacy and urged people to avoid gathering near their residence, asking everyone to keep them in their prayers during this challenging period.
Originally from India and later based in Dubai, Anunay built a massive online following with over 1.4 million Instagram followers and nearly 380,000 YouTube subscribers. Known for his breathtaking travel content, he had explored 46 countries, capturing the beauty of each destination with a creative eye.
Before becoming a full-time travel creator, Sood worked in marketing and growth hacking, but soon realised that his passion for travel and photography could open new opportunities. His early videos featured low-budget adventures in the Himalayas, where he documented challenging treks through snow in simple canvas shoes.
In just a few years, his content evolved into high-quality travel films shot around the world. During a 2024 interview with Forbes India, Sood reflected on how the digital landscape constantly changes, emphasising the importance of adaptability for creators. He recalled that his first viral moment came from an Instagram Reel about his trip to Leh, which gained around six million views.
