On Friday, Ajman Police announced a 50% reduction in traffic charges from November 4 until December 15, 2024.
The government stated that the discount applies to all fines for infractions committed in Ajman prior to October 31 in a post on the social media site X. The cancellation of the seizure of registered automobiles and traffic points is another aspect of this new strategy.
However, the authority stated that “aggravated violations” are not covered. The judgement excludes the following serious violations: driving a light or heavy vehicle carelessly, truck drivers passing in an area where it is forbidden to do so, exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 kmph, and altering the vehicle without permission.
To maintain traffic safety, the authority urged all car owners to abide by traffic laws and take advantage of the decision to pay accumulated infractions.
As part of the October 1 activation of the smart monitoring system, 26 places have been identified to install electronic gates to capture traffic violators in Ajman.
