The US military campaign against Iran has continued “in full force” over the last few days, according to President Donald Trump, who also stated that Washington has hit over 7,000 sites throughout the Islamic Republic since the start of the war.

On Monday, Trump reiterated his appeal for countries to assist in clearing the Strait of Hormuz and bemoaned the lack of enthusiasm among some for helping Washington. After Iran used drones, missiles, and mines to essentially block the passage for tankers that typically carry a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas in response to US-Israeli attacks, Trump wants other countries to assist in policing the strait.

“Some people are really excited about it, while others aren’t. For many, many years, we have assisted some nations. They weren’t all that excited, and we’ve shielded them from terrible outside influences. At a White House event, Trump stated, “And the degree of enthusiasm matters to me.

Additionally, he claimed that while several countries had expressed a willingness to assist, Trump did not name any of them. The attacks on Iran by the US and Israel have rocked the world energy markets, driving up the price of gasoline for US consumers and driving up oil prices. The increase might hurt Republicans’ chances in the November midterm elections and hinder Trump’s domestic economic program.
