Drizzles are anticipated to fall on the islands and some western and coastal areas on Thursday night and Friday morning, with fog forming for four days, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
This is due to the country being afflicted by weak surface pressure systems combined with a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere. Thursday’s weather is forecast to be partly cloudy to gloomy at times, with low clouds forming over the islands and some western locations, as well as the possibility of drizzles, particularly at night and on Friday early. However, the weather will be humid at night and on Friday morning in certain inland places, with the possibility of fog or light fog.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow at speeds of 10 to 20 and up to 30 km/h, with regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Friday’s weather will be partly overcast to cloudy at times in the west, with an opportunity of rain, particularly on the islands and in some coastal and western areas, but moist at night and Saturday morning in some inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog.
