The northern shore of the Arabian Gulf has been turned into a battlefield for assault against Iran’s neighbors, according to Dr. Anwar Gargash, the presidential advisor for diplomacy in the United Arab Emirates. This region was once a shared corridor of trade, cohabitation, and prosperity.
In an article for X, Dr. Gargash mentioned that the northern Iranian coastline of the Arabian Gulf had long been a place of meeting and mutual benefit for the many different peoples who lived there. This included Arabs, Persians, Lurs, and Baloch, whose livelihoods were closely linked to the success of the Arab states in the Gulf. However, what started out as a bridge for reconciliation and development was transformed by the Iranian regime into a platform for aggression against its neighbours,” he added.
His comments followed a statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs that reiterated the importance of the diversified social fabric in the Emirates, which includes a respected and treasured Iranian population.
The Ministry has also responded to false assertions made by the media regarding the residency status of Iranians in the UAE, highlighting that its policies are based on long-standing protocols that ensure the security of everyone in society.
