On Tuesday, Abu Dhabi, its neighboring suburbs, and the Al Dhafra region experienced heavy rain, thunder, and lightning for the second day in a row. As cloud formations from the west migrated into the region due to the precipitation, visibility decreased and temperatures dropped, resulting in the sporadic production of cumulonimbus clouds in various regions.
After midnight, according to meteorological sources, a fresh cloud structure started moving westward toward Al Dhafra and Abu Dhabi and continued into the early morning. Cumulonimbus cloud formations are expected to persist over a large portion of the nation today, bringing rain of varied intensities, according to experts. Tomorrow, Wednesday, is expected to bring more rain, especially in the eastern and northern regions.
Al Manama in Ajman received 93.3 mm of rainfall by the end of Monday, followed by Ghayathi (Abu Dhabi) with 91 mm, Al Wathba (Abu Dhabi) with 88.2 mm, Mohammed Bin Zayed City (Abu Dhabi) with 78.7 mm, and Ruwais in the Al Dhafra region (Abu Dhabi) with 75.7 mm, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
