Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, and Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the minister of tolerance and coexistence, attended “MALAYALOTSAVAM,” an event held at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the State of Kerala’s (Kerala Piravi) founding.

More than 5,000 members of the Malayali community attended the celebration, which was attended by Saji Cherian, Kerala’s Minister for Culture, Dr. Deepak Mittal, the Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, industrialist Yusuf Ali M.A., and a wide range of dignitaries.

On behalf of the UAE’s citizens, he thanked the Malayali community for their dedication, dependability, and camaraderie, emphasizing how important they are to the country. He also mentioned how motivating his interactions with the community have always been. He emphasized that Kerala’s diversity reflects that of the UAE, where people of many nationalities and faiths live and work together in harmony under a “great Arab tent” welcoming residents from all over the world. He explained that maintaining a strong connection to one’s roots while contributing to the UAE’s renaissance enriches both countries.
