
According to officials cited by Tasnim News Agency, a Red Crescent helicopter crashed in the Oshtorankuh mountains of Lorestan province on Friday, October 3, killing at least two persons. When the disaster happened at 2,800 meters above sea level, the helicopter had been sent to Mount Oshtorankuh to look for a missing woman, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
After the incident, ten members of the rescue squad were dispatched to the scene, a local official informed Mehr News Agency. At the time of the incident, the helicopter was carrying five members of the rescue team and four members of the crew.
