A number of charge deferrals for business services are among the new elements revealed by Dubai as part of its Dh1-billion economic incentive package. The announcement confirms that the measures would be applied to both new licenses and renewals, and it details the particular government costs that will be postponed for three months.

Premium company names, license modifications, media announcements, local service, housing, trash management, and service improvement fees will all be postponed, which is good news for businesses in all industries, according to the statement.

The initiatives encompass all hospitality establishments, including hotels, apartment buildings housing hotels, and vacation homes, and further clarification has been given regarding the extent to which the tourism sector will be supported.

A three-month extension on the payment of the Tourism Dirham and 100 percent of room and food and beverage sales fees has been granted to hotels in an effort to improve liquidity in the industry as a whole.

Companies in various phases of operation can rest easy knowing that the fee deferrals will be extended to both new and renewal business licenses, according to the latest statement. Any additional extensions or adjustments will be communicated to businesses at the conclusion of the three-month period.
