We recently interviewed Lord Malcolm, Founder and CEO of Betrworkr. Witnessing a gap in the HR process that often led to global talent being overlooked or startups encountering compliance and cross-border payment issues worldwide, Lord Malcolm created Betrworkr, an all-in-one HR platform.
From sourcing top talent across borders to managing global payroll and employer of record services, amongst other products, Betrworkr is redefining the global HR landscape. With innovative HR solutions and his visionary approach, Lord Malcolm partners with Startups, Scaleups, and global enterprises to make HR operations and processes a hassle-free task.
The Beginning
Curious to learn more about Betrworkr, we asked, “How did Betrworkr get started, and what led you to where you are today?”
Lord Malcolm shared, “Honestly, it started with frustration. I saw firsthand how broken and fragmented the HR process was, especially when it came to hiring, paying, and managing talent across borders. Great talent was being overlooked simply because of location or logistics, and employers were stuck navigating red tape and uncertainty. That disconnect lit a fire in me. I wanted to solve the real problem: how to make hiring, paying, and managing talent fast, compliant, and borderless without sacrificing quality. That’s what led to the creation of Betrworkr.”
Betrworkr’s Value Proposition
Trying to understand how Betrworkr stands out from its competition, so we asked, “Please tell us about your role and the business you lead? What are the core products you provide?”
“I lead Betrworkr, and my role spans across strategy, growth, and product-market alignment. At our core, we help companies hire, manage, and pay top talent—anywhere in the world. Our core services are: cross-border recruitment, global payroll, and EOR (Employer of Record) solutions, Remote work asset administration, Human resource Management, Employee Benefits Administration, Visa and Work Permit Facilitation, and AI identity verification for KYC and KYB.
What makes us different is how fast and local our model is. We can match global companies with pre-vetted, job-ready local talent in under 48 hours, and we handle onboarding, compliance, local currency payroll, and all things HR so they can focus on scaling,” explained Malcolm.
Navigating through Challenges
Interested to learn more about Lord Malcolm’s resilience, we asked, “What challenges have you faced with your startup, and how did you overcome them?”
Lord Malcolm: “There have been plenty. One of the biggest was educating clients on the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of global hiring. Many companies were hesitant to go cross-border due to perceived legal and operational risk. We tackled that by simplifying the process and showing quick wins; getting their first hires onboarded smoothly and paid compliantly. Another challenge was building trust as a bootstrapped company operating globally. We leaned into transparency, speed, and service. Now, our track record speaks for itself.”
Redefining Businesses with Digital Revolution
Technology, especially AI, has significantly impacted every industry in 2025. So, we asked Lord Malcolm to share some perspective on AI and some AI best practices being implemented at Betrworkr.
“AI is reshaping recruitment and HR as we know it. At Betrworkr, we’re integrating AI to enhance candidate matching, automate vetting processes, and even support real-time payroll compliance monitoring. The goal isn’t to replace the human touch—it’s to make decisions faster and more data-driven. We’re especially excited about using AI to reduce bias in hiring and surface high-potential candidates who may be overlooked by traditional filters,” Lord Malcolm reflected.
Envisioning the Future of HR
We further asked, “What are your views on the future of the industry you’re associated with?”
He added, “The future of HR is global, digital, and agile. Companies can’t afford to be slow, inflexible, or geographically limited anymore. Talent is everywhere; opportunity should be too. I believe the companies that win in the next decade will be the ones that can build borderless teams, adapt to new compliance environments quickly, and personalize the employee experience across cultures and countries. We’re building for that future at Betrworkr.”
Insights of an Expert
We asked him to share some nuggets of wisdom for aspiring leaders looking to make an impact within the global HR industry.
Lord Malcolm mentioned, “Start by solving a real pain point—something people feel deeply and urgently. Then, stay close to your customers and obsess over delivering value. Don’t chase hype; focus on traction. Also, embrace the power of storytelling. Especially in HR tech, people buy into trust and relationships, not just features. Finally, go global from day one. The world is too connected to think small.”
A Healthy Balance of Work and Life
Intrigued to learn how he maintains a seamless work-life balance while building a global startup, he was kind enough to share his thoughts:
“Balance is more of a rhythm than a fixed state. Some days are heavy on work, and other days I intentionally unplug. I make it a point to schedule personal time like I would a meeting—with the same level of commitment. I also lean on an amazing team at Betrworkr, which makes it easier to delegate and stay focused on what really moves the needle. Rest and recovery are part of peak performance, not a break from it,” explained Lord Malcolm.
