Specific guidelines for recognising university degrees from institutions outside of the United Arab Emirates have been established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR).
According to the Ministry, the certificate needs to be genuine and original, and the university or institution that issued it needs to have received accreditation from the nation’s recognised accrediting authority during the study time.
It made clear that the length of the research is not a main benchmark but rather an internal assessment criterion applied in certain circumstances. Furthermore, full-time attendance in the nation of study is not a major criteria, though it may be utilised internally in some circumstances, and prior credentials do not impact the likelihood of recognition.
The Ministry underlined that verification of the validity of the qualification must be submitted via one of its approved partners, either DataFlow or Quadra Bay.The Ministry confirmed that embassy attestation is insufficient evidence on its own unless it is accompanied by a response from the university that satisfies the requirements. Additionally, applicants must provide a signed and stamped transcript covering the entire study period as well as the original graduation certificate.
