The first and biggest low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa, Air Arabia, has announced that direct flights between Sharjah and Damascus would resume on July 10, 2025. With a twice daily frequency, the route would provide smooth connection between Damascus International Airport and Sharjah International Airport.

The return of flights to Damascus demonstrates Air Arabia’s continued dedication to provide its customers more affordable and accessible travel alternatives between the United Arab Emirates and Syria. After many years, we are happy to resume flights between Sharjah and Damascus, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to enhancing regional air connectivity,” stated Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of aviation Arabia.

This route is especially important for serving the Syrian diaspora in the area and fulfilling the increasing demand for travel between Syria and the United Arab Emirates. By launching a twice daily service, we hope to assist the expansion of commerce, tourism, and cultural interaction between the two countries while simultaneously providing more convenience and flexibility for both business and leisure visitors.

With six weekly flights, Air Arabia just launched a new route to the Russian city of Sochi. Along with Moscow, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Yekaterinburg, the new route makes Sharjah the sixth Russian city to be serviced directly, therefore growing Air Arabia’s network in the nation.
