
The goal and worldwide contributions of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah in supporting the Holy Quran, its sciences, and significant individuals in its history were explained to Dr. Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdullah Bin Humaid, adviser at the Saudi Royal Court and imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. He praised His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Council, for his efforts in creating this outstanding organisation.
In addition to having a unique collection of manuscripts and the belongings of prominent Quran reciters who have had a major influence on the preservation and dissemination of the Holy Quran over the ages, the Academy is dedicated to the Quran and its sciences.
Along with other attendees at the University of Sharjah’s “Objectives of the Holy Quran: Between Theory and Practice” conference, Dr. Sheikh Saleh Bin Humaid and Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Duwaini, Deputy of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Egypt, had the visit on their itinerary.
Abdullah Khalaf Al-Hosani, the Secretary General, many department heads, and Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Sharjah Quran Academy, welcomed them to the Academy.
Dr. Al Tunaiji greeted the visitors and took them on a tour of the museums dedicated to the Quran. He provided a thorough synopsis of the Academy’s goals, objectives, and three guiding principles: The Sharjah Global Electronic Platform for Qira’ah.
