During the Holy Month of Ramadan, a lively group of fasting people from several countries gathered in the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi to witness the breaking of their fast in a very inspirational show of togetherness. In the middle of the mosque’s and the surrounding gardens’ magnificent grandeur, an aura of faith and spirituality was created by the exquisitely decorated extended tables in the surrounding yards.

A lively sense of community and togetherness has been fostered by the thousands of fasting individuals who have gathered at the mosque before sundown to eat Iftar since the first day of Ramadan. With workers trained to greet and seat the fasting individuals, Gulf Today’s camera has been tracking the number of people arriving at the Iftar tables in the mosque’s surrounding regions. In addition to food boxes with prepared meals to make the fasting individuals comfortable, each meal for the fasting person contains water, milk, and dates.

In addition to supplying 70 electric cars to carry fasting individuals from the parking lots to the Iftar places, they have made some quite interesting arrangements. Teams of volunteers are putting in endless effort to create a peaceful and comfortable environment for the many worshippers and guests who visit the mosque during this holy month.
