On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the nation’s startup story is no longer limited to large cities and that the country’s startup ecosystem is an example of the potential of India’s youth.

At the 20th Rozgar Mela, the prime minister made these statements while handing out more than 51,000 appointment letters to recently hired young people in various government agencies. The Rozgar Mela was held at 45 venues nationwide, and the newly appointed officials attended.

“India today is the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, and India’s startup story is no longer a story confined only to big cities,” Modi declared while speaking at the 20th Rozgar Mela. Currently, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are home to almost half of the recognised startups.

“Our goal is to make sure that the private sector’s employment prospects grow quickly as well. The Prime Minister stated, “With an expenditure of about Rs1 lakh crore, the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana has been launched with this vision.”

He added that about 2 crore young people will be able to join the workforce for the first time thanks to this program, and the government will also give first-time job seekers an incentive of up to Rs 15,000 in addition to offering incentives to employers who create new jobs.
