As part of its emergency response to the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates has dispatched 70 tonnes of relief supplies and humanitarian aid. The consignment, which was made possible by the UAE Aid Agency in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Caracas, contains medical supplies, tents, and shelter materials to help meet immediate humanitarian needs and assist the Venezuelan government’s response operations.
Senior Venezuelan and UAE officials, including Inder Romero, Deputy Minister for Industrial Development and Commerce of the Ministry of People’s Power for Industries and National Commerce, and Andrea Corao Faria, Venezuela’s Deputy Minister for Asia, Middle East, and Oceania, accepted the aid shipment.
The relief, according to Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE relief Agency, demonstrated the UAE’s long-standing dedication to acting quickly in humanitarian emergencies. According to him, the supplies will help fulfill immediate demands for shelter and medical care by giving displaced individuals housing materials and medical supplies to support the treatment of injured people. This will aid in early recovery efforts and lessen the pain of those impacted.
