The deadline for private sector organizations with 50 or more employees to meet their Emiratization goals for the first half of 2026 is June 30, 2026, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE).
In accordance with Emiratization decisions and policies, which mandate an additional 1% growth in the Emiratization of skilled jobs for the second half of 2026 for these companies, this entails achieving a 1% growth in the Emiratization rate of their skilled jobs for the first half of the year, bringing their overall Emiratization growth rate to 2% by the end of the year. Establishments that have not met their required Emiratization rates for the first half of the year will be subject to financial contributions beginning on July 1, 2026.
Instead of waiting until the last few days before the deadline, the Ministry urged businesses subject to Emiratization policies to step up their efforts and quickly fulfill their requirements. They were also urged to use the Nafis platform to connect with job-seeking UAE citizens from a variety of specializations.
To improve job stability for Emirati nationals, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, ordered that the Nafis initiative be extended until 2040. The program has been updated with longer financial support periods and increased child allowance support.
