Israeli military spokeswoman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani told reporters during a briefing on Monday that comprehensive operational plans for the fight with Iran are in place for the next three weeks, in addition to other plans that go farther into the future.
The military has presented its goals as being restricted to undermining Iran’s ability to pose a danger to Israel by attacking nuclear facilities, ballistic missile infrastructure, and the security apparatus.Shoshani stated, “We want to make sure that this regime is as weak as possible and that we degrade all of their capabilities, all parts, and all wings of their security establishment.”
Over 110,000 reservists have been summoned by the military, which claims it still has thousands of targets to bomb within Iran. Five people were killed and seven injured in overnight strikes that struck the central Iranian province of Markazi, according to Iran’s Mehr news agency.
Both a residential structure in Mahallat County and a residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Arak City were assaulted, according to the news agency. A boys’ school in Khomeyn City, Markazi province, was targeted, resulting in some damage to the surrounding area. There were no recorded casualties. On Monday, the Israeli military said that it was conducting airstrikes against what it called the “Iranian terror regime’s” infrastructure in Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz.
