During a formal visit to the capital Lusaka, Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi met with President Hakainde Hichilema of the Republic of Zambia with the aim of enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.

Leading a high-level UAE business delegation as part of the UAE Trade and Investment Days, Al Zeyoudi also spoke with high-ranking government officials, such as Energy Minister Hon. Makozo Chikote, Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane, Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati, Agriculture Minister Reuben Mtolo Phiri, Health Minister Dr. Elijah Muchima, and Commerce, Trade, and Industry Minister Chipoka Mulenga. The purpose of the sessions was to find ways to increase trade cooperation and new investment in priority sectors.

Al Zeyoudi also took part in a ministerial roundtable during the visit, which brought together senior Zambian representatives and members of the UAE team to further discussions on enhancing long-term economic linkages and sectoral collaboration. Through trade facilitation, supply-chain resilience, and private-sector participation, the roundtable offered a forum for enhancing business relationships.
