The Union Coop has started a month-long campaign to give 30 to 60 percent discounts of about 3,000 food and non-food items and rewards through a variety of activations in honour of the “year of the family” and to help the locals get the most out of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

At a press briefing at its Al Warqa City Mall headquarters, where its CEO, Mohamed Al Hashemi, officials from the Ministry of Economy, the media, and department heads were present, the company unveiled its Ramadan strategy to support families and preserve market stability.

Throughout all locations, the online store, and the “Tamayaz” app, the campaign gives up to 60% off of a variety of products, including rice, oils, wheat, sugar, chicken, eggs, dates, and fresh and frozen goods.

In order to maintain stability throughout the month, the prices of over 160 necessities have been locked. According to Al Hashemi, the campaign is part of the UAE’s “Year of the Family” strategy and supports national initiatives to reduce living expenses during Ramadan.

He went on to say that Union Coop continues its three-year-old price reduction and stabilization program, which now offers over 6,000 locally manufactured goods. Monthly product lists are evaluated based on demand.
