Sharjah: According to the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD), government organisations in the emirate carried out over 2.8 million digital transactions in 2025, which represents an almost 50% increase over 2024. This significant achievement highlights how quickly we are moving toward a fully integrated digital government.
Additionally, SDD revealed that more than 30 million transactions were processed in real-time data exchange across government platforms, demonstrating a high level of institutional interconnectedness and the smooth flow of information for the benefit of customers.
To improve government digital preparedness, more than 25,000 personnel were empowered concurrently through cutting-edge digital programs and technologies. The foundations of a unified, safe, and effectively integrated government ecosystem are further strengthened by the fact that more than 65% of central government organisations are now connected to the Unified Government Network.
These declarations were made at the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club during the Sharjah Digital Integration Forum, which was hosted by SDD with the theme “Together, We Shape Our Digital Future.
In addition to prominent officials and representatives from government agencies, Sheikh Saud Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, and Engineer Lamia Al Hossan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, attended the conference.
