Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, met on Wednesday at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, as well as Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, were present at the meeting.

Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, was also present at the meeting, which was centered on bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan and examined ways to improve cooperation in a number of areas of shared interest in order to serve the common interests of both nations and their peoples.

Both parties emphasized their dedication to promoting global stability and collaboration for security and sustainable development as the discussion also covered regional and international problems.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its strategic alliance with Pakistan during the meeting, building on the two nations’ long-standing historical ties and reflecting the UAE’s goal of promoting collaboration and closer ties with countries worldwide.
