Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated on Sunday the 18th session of the Sharjah Children’s Shura Council and the 9th session of the Sharjah Youth Shura Council at the headquarters of the Sharjah Consultative Council. The sessions are being held under the theme “Serving the Community is Leadership.”
In his address, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed said the two councils operate in line with the vision of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He also highlighted the continued support and care provided by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah.
The Deputy Ruler expressed his happiness at meeting and celebrating the young members of the councils, describing them as a distinguished group representing Sharjah’s future leaders. He said the slogan of the current sessions reflects the true meaning of participation, responsibility, and service to the community.
Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed noted that the theme highlights the expected role of the two councils and shows Sharjah’s confidence in its children and youth. He added that the emirate believes in their ability to take part in meaningful discussions, raise issues relevant to their generation, and present ideas that contribute to community development and national progress.
