We recently had the privilege of interviewing Fahad Javaid, founder and CEO of Power Interactive, an innovative tech lab developing bespoke interactive technology. Passionate for tech and innovation, Fahad filled the gap in the interactive technology market with the company, unveiling powerful stories in the process. By offering interactive applications across AR, VR, and MR platforms, as well as numerous other impactful offerings, Power Interactive is delivering projects that inspire and connect.

Spark Behind the Journey

We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to enter the interactive technology space, and how did Power Interactive come to life?”

Fahad shared, “My journey into interactive technology was not a sudden decision. It was a natural evolution shaped by years of hands-on experience across audiovisual production, live events, and large-scale installations.

 Early in my career, I realized that technology alone does not create impact. Real value emerges from the convergence of technology, storytelling, and human interaction, forming a meaningful experience. I was drawn to interactive technology because it sits at the intersection of creativity, engineering, and emotion. When done right, it invites participation, curiosity, and connection rather than passive viewing.

 Power Interactive was founded to address a clear gap in the market. Clients were looking for partners who could think beyond equipment supply and deliver complete, reliable, end-to-end experiences. We built Power Interactive as an immersive technology lab that designs, engineers, integrates, and delivers experiences with discipline, creativity, and long-term value at the core.”

Evolution of the Industry

We then asked, “How do you see the interactive experiences industry evolving in the GCC and globally, and what trends excite you the most?”

The interactive experiences industry is maturing rapidly, especially in the GCC. We are seeing a shift away from short-term spectacle-driven projects toward purpose-built, long-lasting installations that deliver measurable outcomes. Clients now expect technology to serve a function beyond visual impact, whether that is education, engagement, storytelling, or operational insight.

 What excites me most is the convergence of immersive hardware, real-time content engines, and intelligent systems. Experiences are becoming adaptive, personalized, and increasingly data aware. In the GCC, the ambition is unmatched. Governments, developers, and brands are investing heavily in cultural, educational, and experiential destinations, creating an environment where innovation is not optional but expected.

 The companies that will lead the future are those that can balance creativity with reliability and ambition with execution,” Fahad added.

A Day in the Life of Fahad Javaid

Intrigued to learn more about Fahad Javaid’s daily routine as a CEO, we asked, “What does a typical day look like for you as CEO, and how do you balance strategic decisions with hands-on involvement in projects?”

He mentioned, “There is no such thing as a typical day, and that is something I genuinely enjoy. My time is split between strategy, people, partnerships, and commercial direction. I remain closely involved in shaping proposals, protecting margins, and ensuring the company is positioned for long-term sustainability rather than short-term wins.

 A significant part of my time is spent in vision sessions. These are moments where I deliberately step away from day-to-day execution to think about the future of the company, how the industry is evolving, and how we can continue to invent new ways of delivering value and wowing audiences. Innovation, for me, is never about chasing trends; it is about anticipating needs before they become obvious and designing solutions that feel purposeful and timeless.

 At the same time, I stay close to projects where complexity or risk is involved. Strategy only works when it is grounded in reality, and being present allows me to support the team while ensuring we never compromise on quality or intent.”

Navigating through Challenges

Intrigued to learn about some of the biggest challenges in building Power Interactive, we asked Fahad Javaid to share about the same and how he overcame them.

Fahad shared, “One of the biggest challenges has been scaling without compromising standards. Operating in the Middle East comes with its own unique rhythm. Timelines are often ambitious, expectations are high, and last-minute changes are part of the reality. Early on, we learned that resisting this environment does not work. Adapting to it intelligently does.

 Over the years, we refined our approach to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality or placing unnecessary pressure on our teams or our clients. One of the most important shifts we made was embracing out-of-the-box thinking supported by ready-to-deploy technologies. Instead of developing everything from scratch under extreme time constraints, which introduces risk, we curate, customize, and integrate proven solutions in creative ways that still feel fresh, immersive, and impactful.”

 “This approach has allowed us to deliver consistently, protect our people from burnout, and give clients confidence even under pressure. It has been a key driver of our growth and long-term success.

 Another challenge has been cutting through noise. Interactive technology is often misunderstood as a novelty. We invested time in educating clients on the aspect, and the clarity helped us build trust, repeat business, and strong partnerships,” he even mentioned.

Impactful Moments on the Career Path

To learn more about the events that shaped Fahad Javaid’s current position, we asked, “Can you share a defining moment in your career or your company’s journey that significantly shaped where you are today?”

Fahad explained, “I operate by a simple principle. I do not believe in saying no to possibility. If given the right intent, the right time, and the right conditions, I believe almost anything can be figured out. Over the years, we have delivered projects that many would consider unrealistic or impossible, experiences of extreme technical complexity that required deep R&D, unconventional thinking, and relentless problem-solving. Our past work profile speaks for itself, and it reinforced my belief that innovation thrives when challenges are embraced rather than avoided.

 A defining moment in my journey was realizing that this mindset must be balanced with discernment. I learned that while we should never say no to ambition or innovation, we must sometimes say no to the wrong framework. Some opportunities promised fast growth but required compromises in quality, structure, values, or team well-being. Saying no in those moments was not about limitation. It was about protecting the integrity of the company.

 That shift fundamentally shaped how Power Interactive operates today. It allowed us to continue delivering complex, high-impact projects under the right conditions while maintaining financial discipline, execution quality, and a healthy culture. In doing so, we created space for sustainable growth, stronger partnerships, and a company built on trust and accountability.”

Transforming Experiences with Power Interactive

We further asked, “How is Power Interactive leveraging emerging technologies, such as AI, AR, or immersive displays, to transform experiences for your clients?”

Fahad mentioned, “We approach emerging technology with intention, not hype. AI, AR, and immersive displays are powerful tools, but they are never the starting point. The starting point is always the experience, the objective, and the audience.

 We use AI extensively to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and remove unnecessary noise from day-to-day operations. This allows our teams to focus on creative thinking, quality execution, and meaningful client engagement rather than administrative overload.

 AR and immersive displays enable us to extend storytelling beyond physical constraints and create layered, adaptive experiences that respond to different audiences and environments. Technology is selected to serve the narrative, not the other way around.”

He added, “Beyond our core services, one of our key differentiators is our partnership programming. Over the years, we have built a carefully curated ecosystem of immersive technology partners, allowing us to offer proven, ready-to-deploy technologies alongside custom integration and content development. This approach gives clients access to cutting-edge solutions without the risk of building everything from scratch.

 Through these partnerships, we tailor each experience precisely to the brief, combining established platforms with creative customization to meet specific timelines, budgets, and expectations. This allows us to consistently deliver solutions that are unique, reliable, and deeply aligned with client goals.

 Ultimately, our role is to simplify complexity. Every decision we make comes back to one question – Does this add real value to the experience and strengthen the relationship with the client? If it does not, we do not use it.”

Fahad Javaid’s Leadership Approach

A visionary leader can drive transformation in an industry. To understand Fahad Javaid’s approach as a leader, we asked, “How would you describe your leadership style, and what principles guide your approach to managing a creative and tech-driven team?”

He commented, “I would describe my leadership style as intentional, transparent, and performance-driven. Efficiency matters to me, not for the sake of speed, but for clarity and quality. I am deliberate about building an environment where people are not surrounded by noise, unnecessary processes, or constant firefighting. Time is our most valuable resource, and it should be invested in meaningful work and high-quality output.

 Results matter. They are the clearest measure of progress and impact. People who take ownership, deliver consistently, and push themselves to achieve more should always be supported and given room to rise. When someone shows commitment and ambition, my role is to remove obstacles, provide direction, and help them win.

 For us, work-life balance is not a slogan; it is a strategic priority. When people have clarity, structure, and the right tools, they perform at a higher level without burnout.

 Equally important is long-term growth. I spend a great deal of time developing clear growth paths for individuals, helping them expand their capabilities, step into leadership, and evolve into confident, capable professionals who truly come into their own.”

Lastly, we asked, “Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals for Power Interactive, and what kind of impact do you hope to create in the interactive technology industry?”

He shared, “Our long-term goal is to establish Power Interactive as a global benchmark for immersive and interactive technology delivery. Our ambition is to grow globally with purpose, not by opening symbolic offices, but by being on the ground, embedded in each market, building relationships, and delivering real impact.

 We will continue to innovate through our partner ecosystem, introducing unique technologies while applying our own DNA of experience design, integration, and execution. This allows us to consistently deliver immersive solutions that are distinctive, scalable, and tailored to the needs of each market we enter.”
