Abu Dhabi’s Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy hosted a dialogue session with Maria Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, focusing on the country’s strategic priorities during its ASEAN Chairship in 2026. The discussion was held under the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together.”
The session explored ways to strengthen regional cooperation within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and improve strategic coordination among its member states. Participants also discussed opportunities for closer collaboration to support shared regional goals and promote multilateral cooperation.
The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of the Academy. The event reflected the Academy’s role in encouraging open discussion and the exchange of views on regional and global issues of common interest.
The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy is a recognised diplomatic institution based in Abu Dhabi. It offers accredited academic programmes and executive training designed to prepare future diplomats, as well as government and business leaders.
