
Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths predicted that by the end of 2025, Dubai International Airport will have handled 95.3 million passengers, setting a new record for the airport, which has been the busiest international hub in the world for the last 11 years.
On the fringes of the Dubai Airshow 2025 press conference, Griffiths told the Emirates News Agency that he believes Dubai Airport will hit the 100 million passenger milestone in the following two years, with 2027 being the anticipated year.
Passengers are expected to reach 115 million by the end of 2031, and operations will move to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) by 2032 to handle approximately 124 million passengers,” he continued.
Paul Griffiths confirmed that Dubai Airshow 2025 will be the biggest and most spectacular edition since its start, calling it the world’s premier aviation event. He added that the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to showcase the latest advancements in aerospace and aviation when it opens in November.
There will be a lot of new technologies unveiled at the event, especially in vertical take-off and landing electric aircraft, space technologies, and advanced defense systems featured across all exhibition pavilions,” he continued, adding that the event is a major event on the global calendar.
