According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), the percentage of workers registered in the “Unemployment Insurance” system will reach 90% of the total targeted workforce by the end of 2025, while the value of compensation received by workers who lost their jobs will exceed Dhs350 million from the system’s implementation in early 2024 to the end of 2025.
Mohre reviewed pioneering achievements and outstanding results achieved by the social protection system for workers in the labor market, protecting their financial entitlements and raising their awareness during 2025, affirming that the positive results recorded in 2025 reflect the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing a safe, stable, and sustainable work environment that achieves quality of life and well-being for workers and protects their rights in a balanced manner.
The achievements in 2025 confirm the effectiveness of the comprehensive strategy implemented by the Ministry in the labor market in light of applying a sustainable methodology of partnership with federal and local government entities and the private sector, which supports the application of legislation and enhances compliance with it, as well as the optimal implementation of initiatives and programs aimed at consolidating the UAE.
