According to Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), the number of firms registered for corporate tax has topped 450,000, reflecting the business sector’s strong commitment to complying with the new tax system.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the FTA’s second strategic partners meeting on Thursday in Dubai, Al Bustani emphasized the importance of working with partners to attain the FTA’s goals and boost the national economy.
He stated that the annual gathering is a crucial opportunity to recognize and honor the 64 partners this year, emphasizing that the Authority’s success in reaching its objectives is mainly due to their essential assistance.
Al Bustani further stated that the Authority is constantly working to strengthen collaborations and increase the reach of awareness campaigns and training workshops, resulting in a better understanding of the tax system and easier compliance for businesses.
Al Bustani emphasized the Authority’s commitment to developing electronic platforms that will streamline operations, minimize bureaucracy, and improve the overall customer experience.
