The 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), with the topic “Communication for Quality of Life,” will take place in Sharjah on September 10–11, 2025. The Expo Centre Sharjah will host the forum, which will include more than 22 interactive platforms aimed at establishing communication as a key component in tackling social issues of the future.
This international platform, which is organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), will examine how communication is changing and making an impact in five crucial areas: public health, education, food security, environmental sustainability, and the green economy. These areas are all critical for improving human well-being. As a fundamental component of social and economic stability, food security will get special attention during this year’s event. It will examine how government communication can support biodiversity conservation, promote innovative farming practices, and enhance public understanding of sustainable food systems.
By 2030, over 670 million people may be undernourished, with 258 million currently suffering from acute food insecurity, according to UN projections. These numbers highlight the necessity of awareness-driven, responsive communication that connects policy and communities.
Additionally, IGCF 2025 will emphasize how communication may transform health emergencies into chances to create societies that are more resilient and educated. It will investigate how focused initiatives might reduce socioeconomic disparities and alleviate the impacts of food insecurity.
