Bill Gates, the billionaire and co-founder of Microsoft, congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on Friday. Gates reportedly donated $50 million to one of US Vice-President Kamala Harris’ political campaigns.
Gates congratulated JD Vance, the VP-elect, and Trump in a post on the social media platform X.
“When we apply creativity and ingenuity to enhance lives both domestically and internationally, America is at its best. In order to create a better future for everybody, I hope we can collaborate today,” Gates remarked.
Bill Gates’ ex-wife, Melinda Gates, had also supported Harris. “I was pleased to promote Kamala, in my opinion.” Melinda Gates stated on a CBS program in July, “I’ve worked with her before. She knows what we need in society, and she’s using her voice against those issues already on the campaign trail, and I knew she would.
Big Tech executives, including Bill Gates, congratulated Trump on winning the US presidential election.
