China Securities has been granted a licence by the DIFC Authority to establish a regional presence at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), the Center revealed on Monday. China Securities is a prominent Chinese investment bank with extensive skills in asset management, investment banking, equity and debt capital markets, and institutional services. It is a publicly traded securities company with its headquarters located in Beijing. The independent supervisor of financial services carried out in or from DIFC, the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), has also granted authorisation to China Securities.
In addition to strengthening linkages between the Chinese, UAE, and global capital markets, the new office will give China Securities a strategic basis from which to assist the Group’s interactions with customers, investors, and financial institutions throughout the Middle East. Its creation strengthens Dubai’s position as a crucial entry point for investment flows between the Middle East and Asia. The decision by China Securities to establish in the DIFC is the result of the two organisations’ ongoing cooperation. Through this conversation, DIFC has collaborated closely with China Securities to present Dubai’s potential, enhance its comprehension of the local market, and facilitate its long-term goals for international expansion.
China Securities is the most recent Chinese investment bank to join the UAE’s exclusive group of top Chinese banks, which also includes other significant securities and financial services companies, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, China International Capital Corporation Limited, China Merchants Bank International, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Over thirty percent of the assets in the Banking and Capital Markets sector of DIFC are held by the five biggest banks in China.
