The 8th Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF 2025) was formally launched on Wednesday at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre by Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the deputy ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).

First hosted in conjunction with the WAIPA World Investment Conference (WIC), the two-day international forum represents a significant turning point for Sharjah in influencing worldwide discourse on sustainable investment and economic growth. With 130 speakers spread across more than 160 seminars and 120 bilateral meetings, the event, themed “Transforming Our World: Investing for a Resilient and Sustainable Future,” is expected to bring together over 10,000 attendees from 142 nations.

A keynote address by Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi followed the inaugural ceremony’s national anthem. This conference has mirrored Sharjah’s concept for a decade, which is based on growth that empowers society, fortifies institutions, and supports future generations rather than progress for its own sake. History demonstrates that when governments make investments in their own citizens, foreign capital, infrastructure, and institutions follow. We took that idea quite seriously in Sharjah. We created a strong ecosystem, fortified institutions, enhanced infrastructure, and ensured regulatory certainty and adaptability, rather than relying on incentives.
