Targeting Emirati entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurship Program was launched by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the New Economy Academy, and Ignyte, the region’s premier global digital startup and SME ecosystem platform created by Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC).

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, launched the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” with the goal of enhancing the UAE’s standing as a major international center for entrepreneurship. The campaign includes a wide range of activities and programs aimed at enabling young Emiratis to start their own businesses, spur creativity, and further diversify the UAE economy.

At a press conference today in Dubai, Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Arif Amiri, CEO of the Dubai International Financial Center Authority, and Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy, announced the program’s launch and specifics.

The Entrepreneurship Program, which consists of a three-day course called “Essentials of Entrepreneurship” and a six-day masterclass called “Complete Entrepreneurship,” intends to train 10,000 Emiratis. For prospective business owners, this program blends the principles of entrepreneurship with real-world applications.
