On the sidelines of the second edition of the Global Rail 2025 exhibition and conference for railways, transport, and infrastructure in Abu Dhabi today, Azza Al Suwaidi, Deputy CEO of Etihad Rail Passenger Services, told Emirates News Agency (WAM) that Etihad Rail is forming strategic alliances with local transportation providers, municipalities, and technology platforms to guarantee seamless and connected travels through integrated first- and last-mile solutions.
She clarified that by using a “digital tickets first” strategy, the airline is creating a top-notch traveler experience that blends price, comfort, and dependability. According to her, the rail network will have routes that are completely isolated from the roadways, improving safety by removing the possibility of collisions.
With travel times of 57 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, 105 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, and 70 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Ruwais, she continued, the passenger service would offer precise and trustworthy schedules. Passengers will have designated areas on board for working, reading, or unwinding, giving them the freedom to decide how best to spend their time. To efficiently transport people, families, and groups, she noted that the trains are designed to carry 400 passengers each, with numerous daily excursions.
